Thick walled aluminum tubes have good machinability after quenching and cold work hardening, but poor machinability in the annealed state. The corrosion resistance is not high, and anodizing treatment and painting methods or surface coating with aluminum layer are often used to improve the corrosion resistance. It can also be used as a mold material.
