Cylinder Block – Cylinder Bore
The hydraulic cylinder body typically refers to a key component in a hydraulic system. It is closely related to the hydraulic cylinder.
The cylinder body/cylinder barrel is the main component of a hydraulic cylinder, housing the piston and hydraulic fluid.
It guides and supports the piston while withstanding the pressure generated by the hydraulic system.
It is typically made of high-strength metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, or cast iron to ensure pressure resistance and durability.
The cylinder block/cylinder barrel is a key component of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders, forming the main structure of the cylinder and providing a sealed space for piston movement.
Functions:
Piston Housing: Provides an operational passage for the piston and piston rod.
Pressure Resistance: Withstands internal pressure generated by hydraulic fluid or gas.
Guidance and Sealing: Ensures smooth piston movement and prevents fluid leakage through sealing mechanisms.
Structure:
Internal Wall Smoothness: The inner walls are precision-machined (e.g., honed or bored) to ensure low friction and excellent sealing performance.
End Construction: One end is fitted with a cylinder head and seals, while the other end connects to a base or mounting flange.
Fluid Ports: Connect to hydraulic or pneumatic lines to allow fluid or gas to flow in and out.
Materials:
Carbon Steel/Alloy Steel: Commonly used in high-pressure hydraulic systems due to their high strength and excellent wear resistance.
Stainless Steel: Used in special environments, such as corrosive conditions or food processing equipment.
Aluminum Alloy: Used in lightweight equipment and suitable for low-pressure systems.
Applications:
Industrial machinery (e.g., presses, injection molding machines)
Construction machinery (e.g., excavators, bulldozers)
Aerospace, marine, and automotive manufacturing sectors
