Common Material Grades
Alloy Steel: AISI 4130, 4140, 4340, 8620, 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6, 30NiCrMo12, etc., are the most commonly used materials for this type of forging.
Carbon Steel: Such as 1045 (C45), etc.
Special Materials: Under specific operating conditions, materials such as 35CrMo, P91, and TP347 are also used.
Typical Size Ranges
Small to Medium Sizes: Outer diameter up to 1000 mm, length up to 3000 mm, weight up to 12 metric tons.
Large/Extra-Large Sizes: Outer diameter up to 4000 mm, length up to 10,000 mm, weight up to 30 metric tons.
Extra-large (forged-rolled process): Diameter up to 3,500 mm or more, height 1,500–3,000 mm, weight 25–200 metric tons.
