Heavy-Duty Tube Mold Blanks
Common Material Grades
Alloy Steel: AISI 4140, 42CrMo4, 1.7225, 4340, 8620, 15Cr2Mo, 21CrMo10, etc.
Carbon Steel: such as 1045 (C45), etc.
Copper alloys such as Cu-DHP, CuAg0.1, and Cu-Cr-Zr are used for copper tube molds in continuous casting.
Typical Size Range
Outer Diameter (OD): Manufacturers can produce up to 1200 mm.
Length: Common ranges are 3 to 6 meters, with some reaching up to 10 meters.
Weight: The maximum weight of a single piece can reach 15 metric tons, with some specific tube molds weighing as much as 25 metric tons.
Main Application Areas
Industrial Tube Manufacturing: As critical molds in the production processes of centrifugal cast tubes, seamless steel tubes, and other products, they are used to shape tube blanks.
Continuous Casting Equipment: Used as copper mold tubes in steel continuous casting to solidify molten steel into specific shapes of steel billets (such as square billets and H-beam billets).
General Machinery Manufacturing: Serves as the base billet for heavy-duty hollow shaft and sleeve components subjected to high stress and harsh operating conditions.
