Nickel Alloy Forged Ring: Grades, Sizes, Applications and Custom Manufacturing

随机图片

Nickel Alloy Forged Ring is a high-performance forged component designed for applications where ordinary carbon steel or stainless steel cannot provide sufficient corrosion resistance, high-temperature strength or long-term reliability. Nickel-based forged rings are widely used in aerospace, oil & gas, chemical processing, power generation, marine equipment, heat exchangers and other demanding industries.

Compared with rings machined only from plate or bar, seamless forged and rolled rings can provide a favorable grain-flow structure and high structural integrity, making them suitable for pressure, fatigue and high-temperature service.

Common Nickel Alloy Forged Ring Grades

  • Inconel 600 / 601 — suitable for oxidation-resistant and high-temperature applications such as furnace components, heat-treatment equipment and chemical processing.
  • Inconel 625 — combines high strength with excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride environments. It is commonly selected for offshore, marine, chemical and aerospace components.
  • Inconel 718 — precipitation-hardenable nickel alloy with very high strength and good creep resistance, widely used for turbine, aerospace and high-load components.
  • Hastelloy C-276 / C-22 — designed for severe chemical environments and strong resistance to oxidizing and reducing media, acids and localized corrosion.
  • Monel 400 / K-500 — nickel-copper alloys offering excellent seawater and marine corrosion resistance; K-500 is selected when higher strength is required.
  • Incoloy 800 / 825 — suitable for heat-resistant equipment, chemical processing and applications involving high temperature and corrosive media.

Sizes and Custom Dimensions

Nickel Alloy Forged Rings can be manufactured according to customer drawings, samples or dimensional specifications. Typical engineering dimensions are defined by OD (outside diameter), ID (inside diameter), ring height and wall thickness. Depending on alloy, forging method and equipment, both small precision rings and large seamless rolled rings can be produced. Large industrial examples may reach several meters in outside diameter, while smaller rings can be supplied for valves, seals, flanges and precision assemblies.

We support custom OD, ID, thickness, height, machining allowance, grooves, holes and surface finish. Rings can be supplied as forged, heat-treated, rough machined or finish machined products according to the drawing and required tolerance.

Typical Applications

Nickel alloy forged rings are used in gas turbines, aircraft engines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, chemical reactors, valves, pumps, offshore equipment, marine systems and high-temperature furnace equipment. Inconel 718 is often selected for high-strength aerospace and turbine components, while Inconel 625, Hastelloy and Monel grades are frequently chosen for corrosion-intensive environments.
