Flanged Thick-Wall Cylinder Forging

随机图片

Thick-walled cylindrical forgings with flanges are integrated, thick-walled hollow forgings that incorporate flanges. They combine the high strength of thick-walled cylinders with the connecting function of flanges and are commonly used in critical applications involving high pressure and heavy loads.

Materials and Grades

Carbon Steel and Alloy Steel: Such as 1045, 4130, 4140, 4340, and 42CrMo4.

Stainless Steel/Corrosion-Resistant Alloys: Used in specialized fields such as nuclear power, for example, grade Z2CN18-10 (an austenitic stainless steel).

Dimension Range

The dimension range of large flanged cylindrical forgings covers a wide spectrum of applications, from standard to extra-large sizes. Specific dimensions and weights depend heavily on the end use and customer drawings.

General Manufacturing Capabilities: Capable of producing forged hollow components with a maximum outer diameter of 4,000 mm, a maximum length of 10,000 mm, and a weight of up to 30 metric tons.

Standard Size Range: Another specification range is an outer diameter of 150–1,500 mm, a length of ≤4,000 mm, and a weight of ≤12 metric tons.

The specific dimensional range for large flanged cylindrical forgings is as follows:

Cylinder outer diameter: 2,000 – 3,500 mm

Cylinder inner diameter: 1,000 – 1,800 mm

Cylinder length: 1,500 – 3,500 mm

Flange outer diameter: 2,100 – 4,000 mm

Flange thickness: 100 – 500 mm

Application Areas

Thick-walled cylindrical forgings with flanges are primarily used in fields with stringent requirements for component integrity, strength, and sealing performance:

Energy and Power: Flanges for nuclear reactor vessels, flanges for coolant storage tanks, etc.

Heavy Machinery and Hydraulics: Large hydraulic cylinders, construction machinery, mining equipment, presses, etc.

Petrochemicals and Shipbuilding: Pressure vessels, chemical processing equipment, marine machinery, etc.

Other Industries: Wind power equipment, metallurgical equipment, etc.

We also provide forging blanks and CNC precision machining services for our clients, covering industries such as energy, petrochemicals, steel, engineering machinery, plastics, prevention and control, hydraulics, healthcare, and food. Please feel free to send us drawings for inquiries.
