Nm400 wear-resistant steel plate has a very high hardness, and its HRC can reach more than 450. Therefore, it can withstand large contact stress without deformation or cracking. It is effective when used at ordinary quenching and tempering temperatures. .Due to the low toughness of this type of material, it cannot be used to make parts that are subject to greater stress or are more important. It is generally only used for parts with high corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance.

Nm400 high-strength alloy structural steel is a low-carbon killed steel with a carbon content greater than 0.8%. It is mainly used to manufacture high-strength low-alloy metal components and welded parts for composite materials.
